United Islamic Mission Sierra Leone has been at the centre of our local Freetown community for many years now, as our organisation is a regular fixture for residents from all walks of life, at all stages of life. United Islamic Mission Sierra Leone was launched in 1981 to provide help and support for the Muslim communities in Sierra Leone , and has had a long and positive working relationship with many private, public and voluntary sector organisations over the last 39 years. As a registered charity, we have worked exhaustively on a whole range of projects covering such areas as education, housing, youth and social welfare in order to meet the needs of the Muslim community. We host many different community activities during the week, as well as at weekends and evening prayer groups, and our door is always open.
